The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer SSC813P1 features a circular case that measures 39mm in diameter and is crafted out of brushed stainless steel. It exhibits a crown at 3 o'clock and two push-buttons that are located either side of it at 2 and 4 o'clock. The push-buttons enable the wearer to operate the two sub-dials. The case also displays a fixed bezel that displays a black tachymeter scale that can be used to measure time and distance. Domed sapphire crystal glass provides the watch with optimum protection against scratches and shattering. The caseback is screwed down.

The dial is presented in white and it exhibits an uncomplicated layout which ensures the dial always remains readable. Silver baton style hour markers are interspersed by a 60-second track.
